Mego released this action figure as the first and primary character in their line of Star Trek figures in 1975.
This figure comes with gold tunic, black pants, black boots, black belt, and light-blue Phaser pistol and Communicator. (The gold uniform top indicates Kirk's being part of the Command section.)
James T. Kirk (played by William Shatner) was the captain of the starship Enterprise, and thus the most important character on the show. His bravery and devil-may-care attitude have made him a favorite fictional character of millions of television and movie viewers over the years.
Note: The figure shown at right is displayed on what is known as a '5-Face' card, or, a blister card showing the first five characters in the Star Trek line released as action figures.
