Batman Cartoon Kit - Colorforms

Batman Colorforms Colorforms released their playset devoted to Batman in 1966. This was in the wake of the success of the Batman TV show, which caused a minor mania for merchandise devoted to the Caped Crusaders.

The backdrop for the toy consists of a full-color city scene at nighttime, with a parked Batmobile in the background. The main pieces include Batman and assorted accessories in blue, Robin in red, and the Joker and Penguin in yellow.

This playset would be reissued regularly for over a decade. There would be other Batman colorforms sets later on (including one devoted to the 1989 movie version), as well as Batman appearing in such sets as the Superadventure set from 1974, which also featured the rest of the Super Friends - i.e., Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Robin.
