Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Ths metal lunchbox based on the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind was released by King Seeley Thermos in 1980.
The front of the box features a still from the film of the massive flying saucer as it lands in front of dozens of military and
science personnel; the reverse shows the same spaceship above the Devil's Tower location. The sides are bordered in blue in the lower
half, changing to yellow on the upper part of the border. The sides of the box also show photograph stills from the film.
The thermos for this lunchbox comes in two varieties, yellow and red. Both are square plastic with a red plastic lid.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind is considered to be one of director Steven Spielberg's masterpieces, and was
the most successful science-fiction film to be released after
Star Wars.
