Batplane model kit

Batplane Aurora's Batplane model kit was released starting in 1967. It would remain in production through 1970.

The model itself was made from black and clear plastic; the Batman insignia were provided by way of decals. The plane rested on a black aircraft model stand (also with decals). Two little heads representing Batman and Robin were part of the design.

The Batplane was one of four Batman-derived vehicle kits issued by Aurora in 1966-68. Also released were the Batmobile, the Batboat, and the Batcycle.

Batman and his various crime-fighting paraphernalia became popular with audiences after the Batman TV series became a sensation and launched all sort of related merchandise.
