Elizabeth Taylor
This paper doll book devoted to the beautiful atress Elizabeth Taylor was released by Whitman (Western Publishing) in 1956.
The book comes with two die-cut dolls and nearly fifty punch-out items of clothing and accessories.
Taylor, who had been a child film actress as well (earning early attention and praise for her role in
National Velvet),
had proven her talents in several different films by 1956, proving she wasn't simply another pretty face. That year, she also
starred in the epic
Giant with Rock Hudson and James Dean.
Note: As with many glamorous actresses and entertainers, there were several paper doll books devoted to Ms. Taylor around this
time period.
